Simon’s Great Shave 08-10-2020

Our much-loved swim member, Simon Wilson, is undergoing chemo and has graciously offered to shave his luscious locks for charity. Simon’s great shave will take place at the club this Thursday, October 8th, at 7:30pm (following the badge draw).

Please consider donating to this big public shave, with all proceeds going to The St Vincents Cancer ‘Prehab’ Exercise program founded by Siobhan O’Toole.

Donation buckets will be making the rounds on Thursday night and we encourage you to dig deep and give what you can to support this great cause.  We’ll also have some additional items to raffle off on the night.

For those who can’t make it on Thursday, donations can be made online

As the Club is booked out this Thursday, we’ll endeavour to go live on Facebook to share the clipper action.  Keep an eye out on socials for any updates.

We wish Simon all the best for his treatment and recovery and we thank the members for their charitable donations.

St Vincent's Hospital Cancer Exercise 'Prehab' Program needs $120,000/year to treat 150-200 patients annually. Research indicates that exercise can reduce the recurrence of cancer by up to 50% and helps patients get through their harrowing treatments.
